Necessary Roughness

I've been promising to reopen a blog for ages, mostly to myself.  Tons of ideas fly around my head and then putter out once I actually get in front of my computer.  For a while I used the "I write for a blog at work" as an excuse as to why I don't get back on my horse and do some finger-dancing, but now I have no excuse since that came to an odd end.
Clearly, I have a lifestyle issues
that need to be addressed.
After moving out of the nest and into my own place I've been trying to work through a lot of projects, including rediscovering my ole' independent spirit (about time).

Dealing with the work involved in making my condo feel like home is a great way to drive my writing again (I guess?) and also a great way to make sure I do the damn work.

I've been here for three weeks, and for the last two there has been an empty bottle of cider fitted into an Ugg boot in the corner of my room.  This is like the ultimate yuppie koozie, and it cannot continue to exist.

I have curtains that are 6" too narrow on a rod that isn't even close to being level (which came with the place), not a single print hanged, a room literally full of empty cardboard boxes and collegiate tupperware for furniture.

There is an point where laziness and slight OCD meet... I am there.

Peer-pressure is the best motivator (right?) so by taking pictures of my projects and letting it all hang out there I shall get things done. I declare it.

Let's get it started. It's going to take a while to get back into the groove of using words for fun purposes. We'll get there eventually.
